Brandon Greathouse – AKA Knowbody

The Secret of Success

As a dancer, musician, instructor, youth mentor and founder of Great House of Dance, Brandon, aka Knowbody, has been sharing and uplifting just about everyone in the Northern California dance scene for the past 15 years.

With all that compounded knowledge of life, music and movement, is it any wonder that the dancers he shares his knowledge with would reach the heights of the music director for Jabbawockeez, or teaching massive workshops all over the world. Even the students that don’t get massive exposure acquire the confidence and humility that makes them all around better people.

As a Mentor

Brandon has been guiding young creatives to success for the last 20yrs  with many of his proteges working with artists such as Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Jabbawockeez and Academy of Villains.

As a DJ

Brandon has been rocking crowds with his energetic mixing style for years, introducing music lovers to his unique voice that blends old school sounds with a modern twist!

Creating Community Through Dance

We are primarily a hip hop studio that focuses on all the positive elements of hip hop. Here, our goal is to use the hip hop culture to bring out the best in everyone as dancers and as people. We believe technique is just as important in hip hop as it is in most formal dance genres, so discipline is another factor we stress. Giving students techniques in breaking, krump, house, and popping, we hope to diversify the creativity of the dance community and open each student up to themselves. We love to inspire others…

TO DANCE

Some say dance is a universal language, and we agree. When you move your body speaks to something deep within all of us, inspiring others to move creating a ripple effect that spreads deeper than you could imagine.

TO FIND THEIR OWN VOICE

Like myself, many young people have difficulty expressing their feelings but music and dance gives them the tools to find their own voice.

TO CONNECT WITH COMMUNITY

Now more than ever we should be connecting with our communities to help bring peace, joy and love to each other. What better way than through good music and great movement.

TO GROW AS AN ARTIST

To grow as an artist you need, technique, understanding, passion, drive and practice. Finding a safe, fun, and encouraging place to hone your skills is key to accelerating the process of becoming the artist within each of us.
